Dr.
Tim DeCanio
Dr. Tim DeCanio received his first bachelor degree
in Human Sciences at Florida State University. His interest in the
human body began while attending FSU and was selected as the only
student to help analyze the functional and neurological issues seen
with Parkinson's disease. He cultivated his knowledge of muscles
and bones at the age of 20, working for a leading Physical Therapist
in Florida's capital.
He received his doctorate in Chiropractic at the
prestigious Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis Missouri.
While in St. Louis he received his second B.S. in Life Sciences.
His work in the community grabbed the interest of esteemed doctors
in the areas. He was invited to lecture to hundreds of medical doctors
and hospital residents at Washington University, Barnes Jewish Hospital
and other hospitals, about his cutting edge treatments and results.
During his training in functional neurology (non-pharmaceutical
neurology) he was selected as one of three students in the world
to attend Neurology Grand Rounds in Oslo Norway. This training has
allowed him to take on and help previously unsolved patient symptoms.
He received the prestigious title Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist
from the Carrick Institute of Neurology. As a Chiropractic neurologist
Dr. Tim DeCanio has worked with adults suffering from Parkinson's
disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Vertigo. He has worked extensively
with childhood development disorders ADD/ADHD and autism. Amazingly
he has found the time to complete the course work for a Masters in
Neuroscience. He is a passionate doctor who is dedicated to putting
the patient's health first. As a boss he has weekly trainings with
his staff to make the office warm, caring, and efficient.
Personally
he is a loving father to his son and a dedicated husband to his wife,
the love of his life. Personally, Dr. Tim loves fitness and is an
avid runner in the community. His current best in the marathon is
3:08 and has qualified multiple times for the Boston Marathon and
finishing in the top 10% in 2010.
Our
Office Team
The office strives daily to be a low-to-no wait
office. Kristen Morrow is the office manager and lifeline of the
practice. She is our warm, caring, friendly, and productive office
manager. Kristen handles billing, insurance and controls the front
desk. She has been with the office for years and can handle any
question or concern a patient has.
Liz Davis is our front desk and office coordinator.
She specializes in all aspects of patient care. Our patients describe
Liz to be passionate about health and customer service. She is a
blessing to have in the office, as you will see.
Jennifer is our massage therapist. She specializes
in sports massage and has treated professional sports athletes. She
also holds certifications in deep tissue massage, neuromuscular massage
and Thai massage. Thai massage is a relaxing, yoga based massage,
for those looking to increase their flexibility. Thai massage is
also great for athletes of all ages looking for an edge. She spent
two years learning and training at the Florida College of Natural
Health. Her touch is both firm and gentle.
